Our Commitment to Responsible Investment

At Anchor Equity Partners, we believe responsible investment is fundamental to creating long-term value for our investors, portfolio companies, and the communities we serve. Since our founding, we have integrated environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into our investment processes, reflecting our belief that sustainable business practices drive performance and resilience over time.

As a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI), we are committed to investing responsibly and continuously strengthening our ESG approach. We are accountable to our clients, employees, partners, and broader society to operate with integrity and uphold high ethical standards.

Our Approach

Responsible Investment Integration

ESG analysis is embedded in our investment decision-making. We assess material environmental, social, and governance factors for each investment, referencing both local context and international best practices. Our team partners with management to develop actionable ESG plans and monitors implementation throughout the investment lifecycle.

Environmental Stewardship

Anchor is committed to reducing the environmental footprint of our investments. We encourage portfolio companies to enhance energy efficiency, manage natural resources responsibly, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We use a climate risk materiality assessment tool and look to international frameworks, such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), to guide our approach.

Social Responsibility

We promote fair labor practices and safe working conditions across our portfolios. We expect our companies to uphold human rights, address grievances transparently, and contribute positively to employees, supply chains, and local communities.

Governance and Accountability

Anchor supports strong corporate governance, ethical conduct, and operational transparency. We encourage board independence and uphold robust policies to prevent bribery and corruption. Our governance standards extend across our portfolios and form a core pillar of our investment philosophy.

Sustainability Outcomes

We identify and monitor sustainability outcomes across our investments, with alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) where applicable. We follow a “do no significant harm” approach to ensure our investments avoid adverse environmental and social impacts, and report on key ESG performance indicators to our investors.

Climate Change

Anchor recognizes climate change as both a material risk and a strategic opportunity. We incorporate climate-related considerations into our investment analysis and ongoing monitoring, and support our portfolio companies in managing and, where appropriate, disclosing climate risks and greenhouse gas emissions.

Stewardship and Engagement

We take an active approach to stewardship, engaging regularly with management teams to support the implementation of ESG action plans and foster continuous improvement. We share best practices across our portfolio and encourage open dialogue on ESG priorities.

Escalation in Stewardship

Where engagement does not achieve the desired progress, Anchor may escalate its stewardship activities. This can include increased engagement, collaboration with other investors, or raising issues at the board level, always tailored to the specific context of the company and our investment.

Conflicts of Interest

Anchor maintains clear processes to identify and manage potential conflicts of interest in our investment and stewardship activities. We foster a culture of ethical conduct and provide secure channels for reporting concerns.
